We travel all over America to see concerts. Breakfast the next morning is essential. We ordered French toast, biscuits and gravy and potato pancakes for the table. I got a skillet. We also ordered a patty melt and eggs Benedict. Everything was perfect. Nicest staff in the whole wide world. Definitely stop and fill your belly with all the goodness. Yummy

Adorable place for breakfast. Our server was adorable! She said she has been waiting tables over 50 years. Very MidWest friendly. Being from CA we never hear our servers refer to us as "honey", "love", or "sweetheart". The food was delicious and plentiful and the price was another excellent change of what we typically see. Loaded with small town charm.

Top-notch, knowledgeable service in a roomy, comfortable, well-appointed environment. A truly expansive menu for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. Delicious, fluffy pancakes and other favorites. (The French toast is excellent.) Friendly staff who are always welcoming. Recommended.

I found this restaurant on Yelp and it turned out to be my favorite breakfast place! The restaurant may look dated but the food and service is amazing! Parking is easy, seating was quick but the restaurant was busy! Even with a full restaurant we received food in a timely fashion. The entire staff there were so welcoming and polite. Food prices were beyond reasonable and the portions huge! Highly recommend the pancakes, chicken fried steak, and French toast! They also have a lunch menu and fresh cake slices to go! Family friendly!

I'm giving 4 stars because this place is in the middle of nowhere... I had scrambled eggs and oatmeal . Son had chicken fried steak and hash browns. Service was ok. Place could use a little updating. Not rushing back but food was edible!

Found this randomly through Yelp as this was on the way to Fort Wayne. It is very conveniently located very to the highway so it's not really out-of-the-way and it's near other gas stations as well. This place is ample parking, but let me tell you we walked in and it was definitely crowded. In fact, there was a 10 minute wait and the place was packed and bustling and busy. What's great was that every single person who was working there was running around because that's how truly busy they are. I think it's family owned as I picked up that vibe from the hostess stand to even the waiters and the staff who are there. Or perhaps the staff who does work there have been there for a long time which is great to kind of pick up on that vibe The menu is quite extensive and has all of the expected and traditional breakfast and lunch items. Therefore, there is something for everybody. Once the food came out, the proportions are just huge. Everything was super tasty and came out very promptly and they are constantly refilling your coffee mug I would definitely come back here again if I was in route to Fort Wayne or on the road here. This is well worth your bang for the buck.

Got lucky to find this wonderful stop on our road trip this past weekend coming home from Chicago to Detroit! My sister was looking up places once entering Indiana and hearing their name, was classic! Huge and very busy place. We hoped to spend less than an hour and their efficiency got us out of there in 45min. Don't get me wrong, this is NOT fast food just really great cooks and staff!! Replaced toast for pancakes with a veggie skillet and man oh man was it good!! Perfectly cooked sunny side up atop hash browns and nice amount of veggies! Friendly waitress, after quick seating, food was out in 10 min. I liked spending time to eat and with half an hour to do so was in heaven! Definitely bookmarked for future visit!!

Yelp reviews were on point with this one. I found a new breakfast place in Portage while I'm here for a few months. It is a cute little restaurant with one of the friendliest staffs I have ever run across. All of them were smiling, welcoming, upbeat, and seemingly happy to be there. Our server was terrific, making sure we had everything we needed. Despite the fact that the restaurant was busy, our food came out really quickly. It made me a little skeptical about the quality when it was rushed so much. But there was no degradation in quality as the food was DELICIOUS! I had the Farmhouse Benedict, which is a biscuit topped with a breaded pork cutlet, poached eggs, and country gravy with a side of hash browns. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the yolk ran nicely when I dug into them. Heck, all of it was perfectly cooked. I'm looking forward to going back and trying something else off their extensive menu. Highly recommended.
